Job Title: Visual Communications Specialist

Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled professional to create high-quality visual communications in electronic and print media. This role involves working collaboratively with a team to develop and refine media projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and design print and electronic media, including graphics, illustrations, and photographs, using software tools such as PhotoShop, Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Work collaboratively with writers, photographers, illustrators, and other team members to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Evaluate illustrations and photographs to plan the presentation of material, considering layout principles, aesthetic design concepts, typography, color, balance, and information hierarchy.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in the use of graphic design software tools for Windows or Mac operating systems, including PhotoShop, Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Knowledge of both print and electronic processes, techniques, and procedures related to the design of electronic and print media.
  • At least two years successful experience designing print and/or electronic media using trade software. Portfolio must be submitted for review.
Desirable Skills:
  • Bible college and language training are desirable but not required. Orientation workshops will be provided at our National Centre.
  • The Launch language and culture orientation course may also be useful if the applicant desires.
