About The Role
  • This role requires a Certificate 3 in Individual Support or equivalent experience.
  • As a High Intensity Support Professional, you will use Active Support principles to provide high-quality supports in line with participant support plans, including in-home support, personal care, meal preparation, cleaning, and community outings.

You will be responsible for timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks, such as shift reports, incident reports, support documentation, reconciliation of funds. Shifts may vary in length from 2 to 6 hours on a 4-weekly roster and will include some day, evenings, and weekend work.

What You Will Need
  • Demonstrated motivation to work with people with disabilities.
  • Experience supporting High Intensity participants, including proven ability to support individuals in line with behaviour support plans.
  • A strong understanding of client safety, restrictive practices, and NDIS guidelines.
  • Willingness to undertake training in working with individuals who present with challenging and/or aggressive behaviours.

You will need IT skills to a level where you can use the Microsoft Office suite, complete shift reports, maintain a communication diary, program notes etc. Sound communication skills – verbal and written – are essential. Effective time management skills are also required.
