About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager, AI Technology Risk to join our team at Commonwealth Bank. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced risk professional to lead and manage technology risks associated with artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI systems.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert risk management advice and guidance to ensure that our AI and Gen AI technologies are developed and implemented in a way that meets our risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including technology, data analytics, and operations, to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with AI and Gen AI technologies.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Detailed working and technical knowledge of AI and Gen AI systems, ideally familiar with solution architectures such as Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Experience in risk management and risk frameworks/3 lines of defence model, ideally in banking
  • High quality written and verbal communication skills, report writing, evidence gathering and data analysis capabilities
  • Stakeholder and influencing skills with the ability to proactively engage line 1 teams and engender trust with pragmatic, commercially balanced risk advice
  • A curious and humble mindset, understanding of external trends and changes, interest in continuous learning, to build risk management best practice

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $180,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus superannuation and annual leave loading.
