Expense Management Expert

As a Financial Management Specialist at Westpac Group, you will play a vital role in delivering strong expense management capabilities across the financial management cycle.
Responsibilities- Management Reporting: Support the delivery of timely and accurate management reporting to key stakeholders, including Group Executives and General Managers.
- Risk Management and Financial Control: Ensure adherence to all financial standards, policies, and frameworks, including SOx requirements.
- Process Improvement: Uplift transparency and efficiency in cost attribution and allocation processes, rationalise material entries, and automate report production processes into digital solutions.
- Analytics and Insights: Prepare standard analytics and insights for performance management and accountability, including BAU, Investments, Scorecards, Attributions, and Allocations.
- Finance Partnerships: Support the Expense Management team in providing Finance Partners with automated forecasting and planning processes, scenario modelling, and ad-hoc financial information and analysis.
- Financial Management Experience: Previous experience in financial management and the financial services industry.
- Professional Qualifications: Completed professional accounting qualification (ACA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) and qualifications in commerce or business-related disciplines.
- Key Skills: Strong understanding of technical finance and accounting competencies, ability to effectively influence, negotiate, and manage expectations, and solid business performance drivers.
