Emergency Department Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Consultant to join our team at the Riverland General Hospital in Berri, South Australia.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care in the Emergency Department, responding to critical situations, and managing the clinical floor. They will also engage in teaching, quality assurance, and health promotion activities within the community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality clinical care in the Emergency Department, responding to MET/Code Blue/Code Black calls.
- Oversee day-to-day management of the clinical floor, mentoring junior team members.
- Engage in teaching, quality assurance, and health promotion activities within the community.
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent with Specialist registration in Australia.
- A minimum of five years' experience in a medical position within a hospital's emergency department or community health setting.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing medical and surgical emergencies.
- Commitment to providing safe, high-quality care in line with national standards.
