- Tertiary qualification: Hold a tertiary qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline.

- Understanding of planning policies: Have a demonstrated understanding of QLD planning policies and legislation, or be willing to learn if your experience is from interstate or overseas.

- Communication and interpersonal skills: Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
