Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Audio and Communications Specialist to join our team in Melbourne.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the audio and communications systems, ensuring 100% uptime for all events and projects. This role involves planning, setup, and testing of systems for events and projects, as well as day-to-day connectivity and quality assurance of audio and communications for Outside Broadcast and Studio productions.

  • This is a full-time position based in our IP-enabled Andrews Hub in Melbourne, working closely with engineers in Andrews Hub Sydney.
  • As part of this role, you will work with a small team of engineers with resources of a large international broadcast company.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintaining technical quality control and management of communications systems on Hub productions.
  2. Ensuring communication and audio systems are stable and responsive to HUB and field systems.
  3. Establishing priorities, working independently and proceeding with objectives without supervision.
  4. Providing technical assistance for mobile fleet communications and audio systems integration to the Hubs.

  • Prior experience in the broadcast industry, with knowledge of remote signal paths and feed allocation and management.
