About the Role

Consunet Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Bid Writer to join its team as a professional communicator. This exciting opportunity allows you to showcase your exceptional writing skills and contribute to the growth of the business.

The successful candidate will support the development of documents across various Consunet business areas, working closely with stakeholders to determine the clearest and most logical way to present technical content for maximum reader comprehension.

This pivotal role involves assisting the bid team in establishing and editing documents for complex tender responses, ensuring bid coherence and compliance while supporting the completion and on-time submission of quality proposals for customers.

In addition, the Bid Writer will assist the marketing team in creating engaging content for marketing purposes, including corporate plans, product descriptions, social media, and the company website.

Bid Team Support

  • Implement the bid strategy throughout the bid process, developing comprehensive and tailored written responses.
  • Interpret verbal and written technical content to guide drafting responses suitable for the intended audience.
  • Source and compile non-technical content, including company information, CVs, and certification requirements.
  • Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders by responding to comments and messages.
  • Review proposal documents, including editing, grammar, and spelling, before submission.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, platform updates, and best practices to maintain fresh and relevant content.
  • Maintain awareness of developing practices and their applicability to the role.
  • Identify and report issues and risks associated with own work.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of organisational methods, processes, reporting, procedures, and standards.
  • Assist in creating graphic elements for bid responses.

About You

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in technical bid writing.
  • Capable of communicating complex information clearly, concisely, and accurately.
  • Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively.
  • An eye for detail, with a commitment to delivering exceptional content.
  • Able to manage workload, take initiative, and demonstrate enthusiasm and a strong work ethic.
  • A creative and strategic thinker, with high empathy and excellent people skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of marketing and communications, particularly writing, email marketing, social media, and graphic design.
  • Extensive experience in MS Office and the Adobe Suite.
  • Tertiary qualifications in journalism, writing, marketing, business, or relevant disciplines.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum.
