Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  1. Be reliable, trustworthy, and have a great attitude
  2. Work effectively as directed with supervisors, clients, and colleagues
  3. Be a self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently
  4. Have a sound knowledge of health and safety issues and various cleaning methods
  5. Possess an eye for detail and high standards of cleanliness and tidiness
  6. Be able to think critically and make sound decisions
  7. Have at least one year of experience and a minimum of two professional references
  8. Be willing to undergo a background check
  9. Have excellent communication and organizational skills
  10. Hold a full driver's license

Job Responsibilities

The following tasks are essential to your role:

  1. Vacuum carpets, curtains, and upholstered furniture
  2. Sweep, mop, wax, and polish floors
  3. Tidy rooms and remove rubbish
  4. Clean and disinfect kitchens, bathrooms, and toilets
  5. Dust, clean, and polish furniture and other homewares
  6. Clean windows and other glass surfaces
  7. Perform routine inspection and maintenance activities
  8. Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
  9. Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
  10. Make adjustments and minor repairs
  11. Stock and maintain supply cupboards (in short-term rentals, if required)
  12. Cooperate with colleagues and be a team player
  13. Follow all health and safety regulations
  14. Be physically fit to perform necessary tasks
