We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our Safety & Sustainability team.
This part-time role offers flexibility across 4-5 days and involves occasional travel to various business locations. You'll work closely with HR and Safety teams to deliver meaningful care and contribute to a safe, supportive workplace.
As an Occupational Health Nurse, you'll play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of employees across sales, manufacturing, logistics, retail, and office teams. Your expertise will help manage and coordinate support in the rehabilitation of injured employees, develop plans for their gradual return to full roles and health, and run the site Occupational Health Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate support for injured employees' rehabilitation
- Develop plans for workers' gradual return to full roles and health
- Run the site Occupational Health Centre, including coordinating medical equipment calibration
- Pre-employment Medicals: Assess and provide pre-employment medical outcomes
- Coordinate and conduct health surveillance
- Registered Nurse with occupational health qualifications
- Current unrestricted AHPRA practicing certificate
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Effective working knowledge of injury management and return-to-work processes/strategies
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation Insurance Legislation
- Spirometry training from the Thoracic Society of Aus/New Zealand (TSANZ)
- Workplace screening Audiometry & Hearing Conservation certificate
- Ability to work autonomously aligning with medical guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Strong recent knowledge and experience in performing health surveillance and health assessments, including operating medical equipment
- Experience in drug and alcohol testing/management (desirable)
