Job Description

At Macquarie, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead our Central Finance aligned Risk team. This team supports Group Accounting and Reporting, Advisory and Governance, Treasury Finance, and Regional Finance teams in managing their Financial and Regulatory Reporting Risk and Control Frameworks.

The successful candidate will have a Chartered accountant background with 7+ years of experience in a Financial Institution, with a thorough understanding of activities within a Finance function. They will also have experience in Line 1 Risk and Control Advisory and Governance roles, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

The role will involve driving the implementation of high-profile initiatives, gaining exposure to senior leaders in Macquarie, and providing valuable insights and recommendations to stakeholders on ongoing compliance with policies, standards, and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the controls uplift book of work within Central Finance and the wider Finance teams
  • Drive the implementation of high-profile initiatives
  • Gain exposure to senior leaders in Macquarie
  • Provide valuable insights and recommendations to stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Chartered accountant background with 7+ years of experience in a Financial Institution
  • Thorough understanding of activities within a Finance function
  • Experience in Line 1 Risk and Control Advisory and Governance roles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
