**Position Overview:**

Milestone IT (Milestone Information Technology) is seeking a skilled and motivated Server Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining server infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and scalability.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. Design, deploy, and maintain server infrastructure, including physical, virtual, and cloud-based environments.
  2. Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of critical systems.
  3. Manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and data integrity strategies.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement IT solutions that align with business objectives.
  5. Conduct regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure security and compliance with best practices.
  6. Implement and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline server management and deployment processes.
  7. Monitor server logs, analyze performance metrics, and provide recommendations for system optimization.
  8. Ensure proper documentation of server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting processes.
  9. Provide technical support for escalated incidents and participate in on-call rotations as required.
  10. Stay updated with emerging server technologies and industry trends to improve the infrastructure.

**Required Qualifications:**

  1. Proven experience with server administration, including Windows Server, Linux, or Unix operating systems.
  2. Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  3. Experience with networking protocols, DNS, DHCP, and load balancers.
  4. Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
  5. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  6. Understanding of IT security practices and tools, including firewalls, access controls, and encryption.
