About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Equipment Engineer to join our Services APAC team in Australia. As a Mechanical Equipment Engineer - Mining, you will play a key role in helping us take our engineering to the next level.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide specialist advice on policy and procedural matters, contributing to their development and review.
  2. Offer technical and professional advice within the department.
  3. Monitor quality of work and work outcomes to maintain a high standard of workmanship and reliability.
  4. Collaborate with the site team to deliver the contract and business objectives.
  5. Troubleshoot issues with mechanical rotating machines in Service Centre and at site.
  6. Maintain master data for asset management and product lifecycle software.
  7. Interpret asset information from OEM documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals, parts listings, and drawings.
  8. Conduct fault and failure analysis to determine failure root causes and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  9. Develop technical reports, proposals, and support cost estimation.
  10. Engage with key stakeholders and clients to deliver contract performance objectives.
  11. Ensure approved business systems and processes are implemented and utilized at site level.
  12. Provide asset management and engineering support to site crew.
  13. Liaise with customers regarding estimation and design.
  14. Initiate and participate in the planning and development of engineering policies and procedures.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with Professional Engineering Registration.
  2. 10+ years of technical experience with electrical rotating equipment services.
  3. Strong experience and knowledge in mechanical rotating equipment used in mining applications.
  4. Strong communication and time management skills.
  5. Experience with maintenance and asset management of rotating equipment.
  6. Familiarity with Australian and international standards.
