Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished Backend Engineering Manager to spearhead the development of our API Platform.

About the Role:

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build scalable backend systems.
  • Oversee core services within our service mesh.
  • Participate in roadmap planning and advocate for engineering needs.
  • Ensure system reliability, speed, and security.
  • Create clear documentation and design guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Mentor engineers and foster a high-performance culture.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in Java, Python, C++, or similar backend languages.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, observability, and security practices.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS and cloud trade-offs.
  • Advocate for automation and AI integration.
  • Strong fundamentals in computer science, architecture, and design patterns.
  • Experience leading engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.
