Job Title

A trusted professional in the field of alcohol and drug support, we are seeking an experienced counsellor to join our team.

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals struggling with substance use issues. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and other services to provide comprehensive care and support.

About the Role
  • Provide assessment, counselling and follow-up services for clients seeking assistance with substance use issues.
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team environment, engaging with General Practitioners and other services involved in client care.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions and programs to clients in accordance with best practice and available resources.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans for clients.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the most effective course of action.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Counselling is required.
  • Eligibility for membership of relevant organisation is also required.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, 'C' class drivers licence and National Police Clearance are necessary.
