Mental Health Service Lead

The mental health service lead is a key leadership position, responsible for providing oversight into the coordination and delivery of all services.

As mental health service lead, your primary responsibilities will be to provide clinical guidance and management to staff, oversee PHN commissioned programs, and assist in developing a strong team culture.

You will contribute to strategic planning and policy development while ensuring appropriate supervision for staff. Our organization provides quality complex mental health services within various regions.

We deliver a range of PHN commissioned MH services via place-based care and outreach, including:

  • Commonwealth Psychosocial Supports: psychosocial recovery-based case management for individuals with mental illness not in receipt of NDIS
  • The Way Back Support Service: non-clinical support for people following a suicide attempt
  • Clinical Care Coordination: clinical care coordination for clients with severe and complex mental health and psychosocial needs

About You: We're seeking an innovative and inclusive leader with knowledge and experience in mental health service delivery. Key qualifications include:

  • Tertiary level qualifications in a Mental Health discipline (social work, psychology, mental health nursing or occupational therapy)
  • Current full registration with AHPRA or full membership with AASW
  • Experience in complex clinical triage, assessment, diagnosis and treatment options
  • Experience in crisis management
  • Experience in managing large teams of MH clinicians/professionals
  • Financial expertise and competence in managing budgets and contracts
