About You:

  • We are looking for a highly skilled Consultant Nephrologist who is dedicated to providing excellent patient care and contributing to the advancement of nephrology services.
  • You will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, working collaboratively within a large multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in outreach services will be highly valued.

Key Requirements:

  • Vocational Qualifications: Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Nephrology (FRACP) or equivalent, and eligibility for registration as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Clinical Expertise: Experience in nephrology, including CKD, dialysis, and transplant patient care, with a high level of knowledge in a renal unit within a major teaching hospital. Experience in regional care and telehealth is highly desirable.
  • Commitment to Professionalism: Strong focus on quality care, professional integrity, and ongoing professional development, including a commitment to research, teaching, clinical governance, and quality improvement.
  • Leadership & Teamwork: Proven ability to lead and work within multidisciplinary teams, with experience in liaising with diverse groups and fostering culturally sensitive care, including for Indigenous communities.
