Located at Port Macquarie Donor Centre, NSW, we are seeking experienced Registered Nurses who possess a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service to our donors. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting our donors through their donation process, working collaboratively to achieve collection targets.
Job Responsibilities
- Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability for donation
- Perform routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
- Set up equipment, tubing, and collection bags for safe and efficient blood collection
- Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood and plasma
- Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process
- Manage any adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance
- Monitor donors post-donation and assist them in rebooking for their next donation
Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Occasional lifting of up to 22.7kgs
- Frequent standing, walking, and bending to set up and pack down equipment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Saturday
