The Role
You will coordinate technical activities on assigned projects, guaranteeing effective communication between disciplines and stakeholders.
This involves construction of earth-fill tailings dams and liner systems, requiring significant experience in earthworks supervision and quality assurance/quality control management.
This position is based in our Australia office but may involve working on overseas projects.
Responsibilities
- Maintain quality control of earthworks and infrastructure on site.
- Collaborate with project teams providing technical support.
- Accurately record observations, analysis results and conclusions into detailed reports.
- Review contractors' methodologies and plans to ensure suitability.
- Ensure contractors work efficiently to avoid time or cost overruns.
- Verify that all contractors meet site safety and environmental standards.
- Work with contractors to optimize performance from a schedule and cost perspective.
- Review contractors' progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare daily and weekly site reports covering safety, environment, quality and schedule.
- Compile final Construction Reports upon project completion.
Key Requirements
- Strong knowledge of civil, geotechnical, water resources and environmental engineering principles.
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in civil engineering, geotechnical or water resources.
- At least 10 years of experience in geotechnical structures design and construction projects, particularly in mining infrastructure.
