Job Title

A Senior Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role in upgrading and modernising complex systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

  • Collaborate with experts to develop innovative solutions for real-world challenges.
  • Lead engineering change activities to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
  • Translate complex requirements into practical design solutions that meet strategic objectives.
  • Tackle high-impact technical challenges through collaboration with global experts and Defence partners.
  • Play a key role in test, integration, and operational validation of system updates.
About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices, including modern systems engineering methodologies such as MBSE and Agile.

About You

  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or related engineering.
  • Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle (requirements, design, test, integration).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills — able to connect technical detail with strategic outcomes.
  • Knowledge of modern systems engineering practices (MBSE, Agile).
  • Experience with naval, combat, or complex military systems is highly regarded.
  • An Australian NV-1 security clearance and ability to access/handle Export Controlled technology, data and information.
  • Work on flagship naval programs with long-term national significance.
  • Collaborate with some of the brightest engineers and Defence specialists in the field.
