Picture Framer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Picture Framer to fill this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with clients to understand their framing needs and preferences.
  • Assist clients in selecting appropriate framing materials, styles, and finishes.
  • Measure and cut mats and frame components accurately and precisely.
  • Assemble frames using various tools and techniques.
  • Mount artwork securely within frames, ensuring proper alignment and presentation.
  • Inspect finished projects for quality control and make any necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the framing process.

Requirements:

  • Driver's License (required).
  • Previous experience in picture framing or related field (desired).
  • Proficiency with framing tools and equipment, including mat cutters, saws, and joiners (desired).
  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of conservation framing techniques is beneficial.
