Job Opportunity: Boarding House Assistant

A boarding house assistant plays a vital role within the boarding team, ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained for boarding students. The primary objective is to provide pastoral care and support, encompassing supervision of boarding students in accordance with duty of care and safeguarding policies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Sustain effective management of the boarding house, its procedures, and protocols
  • Promote the spiritual, moral, emotional, and educational development of boarders
  • Supervise boarding students in accordance with established duty of care guidelines
  • Maintain adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures
Key Requirements:
  • Dedication to Catholic education values
  • Ability to engage with and work alongside young adolescent individuals
  • Empathy and experience in caring for the academic, social, spiritual, and physical well-being of groups of adolescent students
  • Capacity to collaborate as part of a cohesive team
  • Holding a current full driver's license
  • Senior First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
  • Australian Boarding Schools Association Duty of Care Course completion or willingness to undertake it
  • Availability to sleep overnight during weekdays (Monday to Thursday) during each school term
