Job Summary:

This role involves carrying out service and repairs on customer-owned Elevating Work Platforms, telehandlers, and lighting towers in our workshop and in the field when requested.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating equipment performance to ensure it meets specifications
  • Inspecting designs and finished products for compliance with standards
  • Installing, testing, servicing, repairing, and modifying electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment and machines
  • Conducting pre-delivery inspections to ensure machines are in good working order
  • Repairing and maintaining customer-owned elevating work platforms and telehandlers
  • Assisting with the training and supervision of apprentices
  • Adhering to site-specific instructions, including Workplace Health & Safety and Environmental policies
  • Maintaining a clean workspace and ensuring tools are in good working order
  • Completing necessary paperwork and inspection forms according to ANZ Standards and customer/site requirements
  • Performing three-monthly and annual inspections of machines in accordance with JLG and ANZ industry standards
  • Participating in pre-start meetings and toolbox talks
  • Maintaining personal retail labor utilization rates as per target
  • Generating sales and service leads where possible and collaborating with the team
  • Undertaking general ad-hoc duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role; experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems advantageous
  • Able to effectively communicate both written and verbally
  • Proficient in Language, Literacy, and Numeracy, including the ability to write job notes, read safety information, machine manuals, and understand basic numeracy such as time, parts numbers, and quantities
