As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for creating healthy and nutritious meals for our children, ensuring their dietary needs are met, and providing a safe and supportive environment for them to thrive.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook meals and snacks for children, taking into account their dietary requirements and preferences.
- Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of our children, with the support of our Kitchens Operations Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Work collaboratively with our childcare team to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our families, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Valid Blue Card and current Police Check (or willingness to obtain these).
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or related discipline) and Quality Food Supervisor Certificate (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in cooking for young children or within a large commercial kitchen, with knowledge of menu planning for dietary and nutritional requirements.
- A competitive hourly rate of $28.62-$33.56.
- A stable and secure work environment, with fixed hours and no long hours, nights, or weekend work.
