RSM Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Senior to join our team. As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in providing on-the-job training to junior members of the division and will be responsible for extensive client contact, staff training, and liaison with third parties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Audit Engagements: Complete audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings of significant and complex audit areas.
- Identify and Address Technical Issues: Identify and address technical accounting and audit issues.
- Review Financial Statements: Review financial statements to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards and prepare reports and opinions to management.
- Manage Audit Teams: Conducting various audit engagements simultaneously with numerous engagement team members per audit.
- Assist with Team Management: Assisting with management and coordination of the audit team including training, mentoring, and methodology compliance.
Requirements:
- Business/Commerce Degree: Business/Commerce degree with Accounting Major.
- Desirable Qualifications: Commencement or new completion of CA (or similar qualification).
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience: 2/3 years audit experience.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Working Knowledge: Working knowledge and application of Corporations Act, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards and other applicable legislation.
