Geographic Sourcing Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform a variety of mainly straightforward GIS assignments, utilizing prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems.

- Execute a range of routine GIS tasks or assignments, working with a moderate level of guidance and direction.

- Develop problem-solving skills to tackle more complex GIS issues independently, breaking down complex issues into smaller, manageable components.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possesses experience within the GIS discipline, as well as a working understanding of fundamental GIS concepts and processes.
  • Advanced understanding of the importance of accurate and reliable geospatial data.
  • Intermediate knowledge to assemble geospatial data from diverse sources, meeting project needs and data quality standards for diverse sets of interrelated features or projects.
  • Intermediate knowledge of one or more GIS industry tools allowing for analysis of geospatial data for specific features meeting project requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge to develop and maintain digital maps using GIS industry tools, creating precise and compelling visual representations of geospatial data through thematic maps, charts, and graphs for specific sets of features in a project.
  • Integrate knowledge of local regulations and standards into the map development process to deliver compliant map products.
