The Individual Placement and Support (IPS) program aims to improve educational and employment outcomes for young people with mental illness by addressing the additional barriers to employment faced by this cohort. As a Work and Study Specialist, you will need to have advanced assessment and planning skills, as well as the ability to draw on a range of interventions to enhance the likelihood of vocational engagement for participants.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing vocational assistance to young people with mental illness aged 12 to 25 years
  • Implementing the IPS program in an integrated team
  • Developing and implementing individualized plans to support participants
  • Collaborating with other service providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to support
