Job Title: Coffee Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to deliver an exceptional customer experience while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the kitchen area remains tidy, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
  • Prepare beverages using our office coffee machine, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Promote a culture of safety, aiming for zero breakages throughout your tenure.
  • Foster effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Collect used crockery from meeting rooms, offices, and co-working areas in a timely manner.
  • Maintain adherence to OHS procedures and best practices at all times.

Daily Tasks:

  • Setup and Preparation: Arrive on time and prepare the kitchen according to established protocols.
  • Kitchen Equipment: Utilize kitchen equipment responsibly, ensuring proper storage and maintenance.
  • Catering and Food Preparation: Prepare food and beverages safely, efficiently, and in accordance with set timelines.
  • Utensil Collection: Collect drinking, eating, and other utensils from clients and staff in a timely manner.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen surfaces and floors, washing dishes promptly by basin or dishwasher.
  • Cups Runs: Complete cups runs efficiently.
  • Maintenance: Clean and maintain kitchen equipment with care, adhering to relevant instruction manuals.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role and work environment is essential.
  • Food Safety: Understanding of Food Safety legislation and Food Handling requirements is crucial.
  • Barista Certification: Barista Certification (Nationally Accredited) is a must.
  • Customer Service: Strong Customer Service skills are necessary.
  • Time Management: Strong time management skills are required.
  • Appearance: Well-groomed and neat presentation is expected.
  • Attitude: Positive attitude, friendly, respectful, and helpful at all times is mandatory.
  • Organizational Skills: Must be organized and have clean work processes.
  • OHS Standards: Understanding of OH&S standards and practices is essential.
