Data Transformation Specialist

We are embarking on a journey to elevate data quality and availability in our domain through innovative engineering practices.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Staff Software Engineer to shape the direction of our data and analytics cloud platforms.

Reporting and Insights Crew

This role is part of the Reporting and Insights Crew within the Financial Crimes domain, where we design and deliver cutting-edge technology solutions that serve data and analytical use-cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy technology solutions to enable efficient data movement and transformation between systems and data sources.
  • Lead engineers in implementing complex technical solutions in a cloud-based environment, ensuring appropriate cybersecurity controls, and provide technical mentoring to the team.
  • Hands-on technical experience in a public cloud environment, ideally AWS.
  • Good knowledge of Quantexa architecture and core ETL and scoring concepts.
  • Experience developing and optimizing data integration workflows.
  • Ability to implement data quality checks, data validation, and error handling to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
  • Familiar with GitHub, Confluence, and JIRA.
  • Capable of attending business meetings with stakeholders, understanding requirements, and translating them into technical design.
  • Ability to design and implement solutions to complex problems.
  • Knowledge of configuring and managing data pipelines, ETL processes, and real-time data streaming.
Required Skills
  • Ability to design solutions to meet business requirements and build ETL and scoring pipelines.
  • Experience implementing data solutions leveraging AWS cloud services.
  • Proficient in entity resolution and scoring concepts.
  • Must have one Quantexa certification (Data Engineering/Scoring).
  • Experience with Quantexa version > 2.5.
  • Good to have experience upgrading Quantexa application.
  • Data processing framework experience using EMR and Spark (Scala).
  • Fluent in all aspects of modern Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Comfortable creating documentation and design artefacts.
  • Mentoring and coaching other engineers.
