Paediatric Medical Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced paediatric medical specialist to join our team at Wollongong Hospital. The successful candidate will provide expert medical assessment and management of patients within the Paediatric Service.

  • Providing specialist paediatric services to emergency patients, inpatients and outpatients at Wollongong Hospital
  • Ensuring provision of high quality paediatric services to all patients within the Illawarra region
  • Supporting the development of paediatric services, facilitating a culture of learning and best practice, and developing paediatric research within the department
Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and managing complex medical cases in the Paediatric Emergency Department
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans for patients with chronic illnesses
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Diploma or higher in Paediatrics
  • Proven experience in providing medical assessments and management to patients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
