As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in partnering with a Relationship Manager to support a portfolio of SME Banking customers in all aspects of customer service, product support, compliance, processes, systems, and governance.

The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

In addition to relationship management, you will be responsible for maintaining control of workflows across all compliance and customer fulfillment processes. You will act in the best interest of the customer, applying a customer-centric approach to provide proactive solutions towards account maintenance and simple customer requests.

You will also support the Relationship Manager with the management of a portfolio of SME customers, collaborating with Product Partners and other stakeholders to fulfill customers' needs.

Your day-to-day activities will involve proactively developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of customer business and financial needs. You will engage specialist teams when required and ensure that all interactions are aligned with ANZ's strategic objectives.

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Strong relationship management skills, including building, maintaining, and influencing relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Portfolio management skills, including selecting, prioritizing, and managing a portfolio of work/customers in line with its strategic objectives and capacity to deliver.
  • Customer solutioning skills, supporting customers by understanding their needs and informing them about relevant products or services.
  • Fulfillment skills, executing end-to-end processes to achieve customer or end-user outcomes.
  • Data interpretation skills, using data and reporting to draw insights and inform business or customer decisions.

A competitive salary is available, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We estimate the annual salary to be around $80,000 - $110,000 AUD, depending on location and individual circumstances.
