Aboriginal Health Training Educator

We are seeking a passionate and skilled educator to deliver accredited health training to Aboriginal students in Melbourne and across Victoria.

About the Role
  • Deliver high-quality, culturally safe training and assessment in health programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all VET, ASQA, and funding body requirements.
  • Support students both inside and outside of the classroom to achieve strong completion rates.
  • Maintain accurate training records and provide timely reporting on student progression.
  • Contribute to the development, validation, and improvement of accredited health programs.
  • Collaborate with in-classroom mentors, compliance staff, and other team members to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or higher).
  • A Diploma (or higher) qualification in Health or a related field.
  • At least 3 years' experience as a Health Trainer and Assessor.
  • Strong knowledge of the CHC Training Package.
  • Experience supporting learners from diverse backgrounds, with an ability to adapt training to meet varying needs.
  • A commitment to Aboriginal health, self-determination, and community control.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in the Aboriginal Community Controlled or Not-for-Profit sector.
  • Cultural knowledge and/or lived experience as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
  • Understanding of LGBTQIASB+ inclusion and respect for diverse identities.
