About the Role:
Cleaning is a vital part of maintaining a safe and healthy environment in schools.
As a cleaner, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the school are clean and hygienic, including classrooms, corridors, staff rooms, and toilet facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors, and cupboards.
- Clean and sanitise toilet facilities and sick bays.
- Clean and maintain equipment.
- Control cobwebs and mildew using extendable equipment as necessary.
- Clean concrete, bitumen, asphalt, and paved surfaces.
- Dispose of rubbish and control litter, removing material from drains and gutters between buildings.
Working Hours:
This role involves working on a regular full-time basis. You may need to work outside normal school hours to complete tasks such as cleaning the grounds or performing deep cleans.
Qualifications and Skills:
No specific qualifications are required for this role, however, it would be beneficial to have experience in cleaning and maintenance.
