Special Education Educator Position

We are seeking an experienced and passionate educator to deliver high-quality teaching and course materials to students with intellectual disabilities and/or cognitive impairments.
The successful candidate will support student success in Certificate I in Transition Education, Certificate I and II in Work Education, and other relevant courses, improving their work readiness, supported/open employment, and educational pathways.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and course materials to students with intellectual disabilities and/or cognitive impairments;
- Support student success in Certificate I in Transition Education, Certificate I and II in Work Education, and other relevant courses;
- Improve student work readiness, supported/open employment, and educational pathways;
- Provide innovative and compliant teaching methods using Moodle;
- Engage students through various learning styles;
- Create a safe and supportive learning environment that enables students to complete their qualifications successfully.
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or a higher teaching qualification in adult education;
- Alternatively, VIT Registration (Secondary Teaching) plus the Assessor Skill Set;
- Demonstrable expertise in teaching in the special education field, evidenced by holding a formal qualification or relevant knowledge, theories, methods, and practices in teaching learners with a range of permanent cognitive impairments/intellectual disabilities.
