We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swimming Instructor to join our team at the Gawler Aquatic Centre. As a Swimming Instructor, you will play a crucial role in teaching students of all ages how to swim, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and professional swimming lessons to students of all ages.
- Ensure the safety of all participants and respond to emergencies according to procedures.
- Assist with setting up and packing up equipment for swim classes.
- Participate in the running and catering of birthday parties.
- Promote the Aquatic & Recreation Services and its programs positively.
- Maintain compliance with safe work practices and WHS policies.
- Attend team meetings and training sessions.
- Provide excellent customer service to all patrons.
- AUSTSWIM or equivalent Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety.
- Child Safe Environments/Mandated Notification.
- CPR.
- Working With Children Check.
- AUSTSWIM certificates in Infants and Preschoolers, Adults, People with Disabilities, Competitive Strokes, Swim Coaching.
- Lifeguard certification.
- Experience in swimming instruction in a paid or volunteer capacity.
- Competitive hourly rate: $33.46-$40 per hour (dependent on qualifications).
- Flexible working hours.
- Opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
