About the Role

The Assistant Leading Hand plays a key role in overseeing all activities and persons within the production hall. Directly reporting to their shift Leading Hand, they work closely with and are accountable to the site Quality Officer.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assign and coordinate tasks for their shift production team
  • Operate machines efficiently and produce conforming products
  • Conduct product testing and make necessary process adjustments when required
  • Ensure compliance with WHS, Food Safety, and Quality Standards requirements
  • Oversee production hall operations and promote a safe working environment
  • Provide technical assistance and support to their shift Leading Hand
  • Coordinate production team activities and assignments
  • Monitor quality control and drive housekeeping
  • Act as shift Leading Hand in absence

Requirements

  • Previous machine operation experience (Blow moulding experience preferred)
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Strong commitment to quality and results-driven approach
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid understanding of HACCP and GMP
  • Reliable and punctual, with ability to work weekends
  • Current NSW forklift license or willingness to obtain one
