Role Overview

As a Specialist Sonographer, you will deliver high-quality ultrasound imaging services for both inpatients and outpatients at the Medical Imaging department of the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH).

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the Senior Specialist Sonographer – Ultrasound to provide clinical guidance and professional support.
  • Ensuring that ultrasound imaging services adhere to best practice standards and organizational policies.

Position Details

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring a commitment of 76 hours per fortnight, with flexibility in hours available for negotiation.

Compensation includes a salary range of $106,966 - $118,114 per annum, along with an employer superannuation contribution of 11.5%.

Additional benefits may include:

  • Salary packaging options, including living expenses and meal entertainment allowances.
  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 annually.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A tertiary qualification recognized by the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry.
  • Accreditation with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry, and if applicable, registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.

It is the responsibility of the employee to maintain current registration and licenses throughout their employment.
