Lead Children's and Young Adults' Services

We are seeking an experienced librarian to lead the development, delivery, and promotion of children's and young adults' services in our library.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and deliver inspiring library programs, collections, and services for children and young adults.
  • Lead training sessions for library staff on children and young people's programs and services.
  • Promote library services, provide outreach programs, and liaise with community groups.
  • Develop and review strategies, policies, and workflows in children's and young adults' areas.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

  • A degree or postgraduate degree in Library and Information Studies, Education, or a related discipline.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills to develop and deliver engaging library programs for children and young people.
  • Well-developed library collection management skills and a strong knowledge of children's literature and literacy requirements.
