Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate Associate Pastor for Youth to join our team at Reformed Theological Seminary. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing our youth ministry, creating a safe and inclusive environment for teens to grow in their faith.
Key Responsibilities- Ministry Development: Design and implement effective youth ministry programs, including Sunday School, weekly youth meetings, missions trips, and retreats.
- Leadership Recruitment and Training: Recruit, train, and oversee adult leaders in various youth ministries, ensuring they are equipped to support the spiritual growth of our teens.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open communication with parents through regular updates, newsletters, and meetings, working closely with the Children's Ministries Director to identify and develop the gifts of our youth.
- Accountability and Evaluation: Report directly to the Lead Pastor, presenting an annual written report and receiving regular evaluations to ensure alignment with our church's mission and goals.
- Personal Qualities: A personal relationship with Jesus Christ, an exemplary Christian walk, and a deep understanding of the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
- Leadership Experience: A minimum of two years' experience in youth ministry leadership in a church, with a master's level degree (preferably an M.Div.) and solid theological training.
- Ordination and Call: Ordained or eligible for ordination, with a clear call to the ministry and a vision for this role.
- Alignment with Church Values: In full accord with the statement of faith in Article II of the Constitution of our church and willing to work within our organizational structure.
- Passion for Ministry: A deep passion for ministry to teens and their parents, with a strong awareness of current youth culture and the unique challenges they face.
