The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety & Environment Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting our Southern Region (SA & WA) and driving our HSE performance to industry best practice.
Main Responsibilities
- Building HSE Capability
- Develop and implement contemporary HSE strategies to enhance performance
- Collaborate with national colleagues to share best practices and drive consistency
- Shaping Regional HSE Strategy
- Assist in developing a regional HSE strategy to mitigate risks and enhance performance
- Conduct regular risk management reviews and workshops to identify critical risks and controls
- Driving Safety Initiatives
- Identify and drive safety initiatives, innovations, and technology to lead industry best practice
- Collaborate with operations teams to implement safety improvements and enhance productivity outcomes
Key Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualified in Work Health Safety or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in construction safety management, with an understanding of construction processes, equipment, and hazards
- High levels of agility and problem-solving to drive WHS improvement
- Leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to travel to Western Australia at times
