About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Publicist to join our dynamic Marketing Team at Myer. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging campaigns that excite our customers while managing key relationships across media, influencers, and talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Publicity Strategy & Execution:
    • Develop and execute integrated PR strategies across all Myer categories, including fashion, beauty, home, kids, toys, and philanthropy.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for media relations across print, broadcast, and digital platforms.
    • Lead and manage key PR initiatives, including seasonal campaigns, store events, talent appearances, brand/product launches, and more.
    • Oversee the management of external agencies and internal stakeholder relationships, including media briefings and spokesperson training.
    • Manage seasonal budgets, reporting, and analytics to track campaign performance and business impact.
    • Provide day-to-day support to the Corporate Affairs team, including issue management, media response, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Talent & Influencer Management:
    • Lead the identification, negotiation, and management of end-to-end campaigns with content creators and influencers on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.
    • Manage relationships and deliverables for Myer Ambassadors and Talent, covering advertising, media, PR, social media, and events.

About You:

  • A seasoned PR professional with 5+ years of experience, either in-house or agency-side.
  • Experience in the fashion/retail industry and a passion for this space.
  • Proven expertise in managing talent and celebrity partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of influencer marketing, KPIs, and metrics.
  • Exceptional multitasking skills & ability to work under pressure, capable of managing multiple stakeholders and projects with strict deadlines simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build and leverage relationships across internal teams, agencies, and brand partners.
  • Creative problem solver & ability drive engaging PR strategies.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with sound attention to detail.
