Senior Postal Delivery Officer

This is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday, starting at 6:30 am. The role involves delivering letters and parcels to the local community in Charleville, Queensland.

Job Overview:

  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • They must be physically fit, able to lift up to 16kg regularly, and possess a QLD car and/or motorcycle license.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support the team with deliveries during leave or covering current routes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of mail and packages.
  2. Sort mail and parcels in the mornings with a friendly team, maintaining a high level of organization and productivity.
  3. Deliver to multiple routes, covering varied areas, and conduct daily vehicle safety checks to ensure roadworthiness.
  4. Load your vehicle with deliveries, adhering to load limits, and deliver outdoors in all weather conditions to homes and businesses.
  5. Provide friendly customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise during delivery.
  6. Work with Rider Mentors for professional development, enhancing skills and knowledge in areas such as time management, teamwork, and customer service.

Requirements:

  • Hold a QLD car and/or motorcycle license.
  • Experience in courier/delivery is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Be resilient and adaptable under pressure, with good memory, hand/eye coordination, and attention to detail.
  • Enjoy physical work and can lift up to 16kg regularly.
  • Be flexible to work additional hours as needed.
  • Meet vehicle load limits: under 100kg for motorcycles, under 120kg for EDVs.
