Senior Electrical Engineer for Renewable Energy Plants

Make a meaningful contribution to the Bureau Veritas team as a Senior Solar/BESS Electrical Engineer. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from design review to construction supervision, and to collaborate with a diverse team of experts.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar and battery energy storage systems. They will be responsible for conducting site visits, inspections, and RCA analyses, as well as performing high-level energy yield assessments and design reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and RCA analyses to ensure the quality and safety of solar and BESS projects;
- Perform high-level energy yield assessments and design reviews to optimize project performance;
- Review and analyze EPC, O&M, and module supply agreement contracts to ensure compliance with project requirements;
- Manage projects as the owner's engineer, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery;
- Collaborate with engineers from other international offices to share knowledge and best practices in electrical engineering for renewable energy plants;
- Facilitate information sharing and communication among team members to ensure seamless project execution;
- Participate in renewable energy conferences and events to stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments;
- Perform other tasks as requested by the Engineering Manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a Master's degree preferred. They will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the consultancy environment, with a strong background in solar and BESS projects. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential for this role.
