Structural Engineering Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer / Senior Structural Engineer for an immediate 6-month contract. You will join a major offshore brownfields engineering service contract partnering with a leading Oil & Gas operator, working across FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery, focusing on design in the Offshore LNG, FPSO Oil & Gas sectors.

This role offers flexible full-time or part-time options, providing an excellent opportunity to build on your experience and gain exposure to complex offshore projects within our operations business.

Responsibilities:
  • Structural engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle (Concept, FEED, detailed design) to produce fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Producing cost-effective structural engineering reports, documents, and deliverables for workpacks.
  • Ensuring work is carried out in compliance with schedule as far as practically possible.
  • Providing technical assistance to team members when required.
Qualifications:

You should be suitably qualified in Structural / Civil Engineering from a recognized institution, with at least 5+ years of relevant design engineering experience within the Oil & Gas production and/or processing industries in Australia.

Additional requirements include:

  • Experience in offshore site environments and site surveying/scoping.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Experience with relevant software packages (e.g., SACS, StaadPro).
  • Knowledge of API, AISC, and ISO design codes.
