Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full end-to-end SDLC across Android App Development, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with the team to deeply understand customer problems and develop creative solutions using the latest Android technologies.
  • Work closely with the digital and venture teams to assess system requirements and specifications, identifying and addressing potential issues prior to implementation.
  • Design technical solutions for initiatives, ensuring alignment with company standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot problems, share knowledge, and perform code reviews.
  • Develop and maintain application documentation to ensure efficient support and future change requests.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of systems development projects, escalating exceptions and problems in a timely manner.
  • Maintain awareness of current Information Security standards and ensure all activities comply with these standards.

About You

  • Relevant industry experience in a similar role using Kotlin for Android app development.
  • Experience with highly modular architecture and understanding of design patterns such as MVVM and MVP for clean separation of concerns.
  • Usage of modern Kotlin features and coroutines for asynchronous tasks.
  • Experience working in an agile team using Scrum or Kanban.
  • Good understanding of test-driven development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and building high-quality solutions.
  • Any experience with Jetpack, RESTful API, and UX Principles (Material Design) would be ideal but not essential.
  • Experienced working in an autonomous team environment.
