Job Title: Director of Financial Strategy

About the Role:
Roadworx is a leading infrastructure contractor seeking an experienced Director of Financial Strategy to drive business growth, scalability, and sustainable profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with Roadworx' objectives, ensuring sustainable practices.
Drive continuous forecasting and analysis to support decision-making, focusing on achieving consistent profitability and market expansion.
Process executive salaried payroll.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment across all business units and operational functions.
Implement data-driven decision-making through advanced analytics, key financial metrics, and performance dashboards.
Oversee costing and administrative departments to ensure regular audits of costs, maintaining alignment with actual labor costs and adapting to supplier price adjustments.

Risk Management and Compliance:
Develop and maintain robust internal controls, governance, and financial policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Monitor and manage financial risks, including market volatility, currency exposure, and operational risks, proactively implementing mitigation strategies.
Oversee audit processes, both internal and external, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Capital Allocation and Investment Strategy:
Assist with capital investments and other high-impact financial projects.
Implement investment strategies that optimise returns while supporting the company's growth, innovation, and sustainability goals.

Financial Reporting and Stakeholder Communication:
Ensure accurate and timely preparation and delivery of all financial statements, forecasts, and reports for executive review and board meetings.
Communicate financial insights and implications of business decisions to internal stakeholders, translating complex financial data into actionable recommendations.

Team Leadership and Development:
Lead a finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Promote cross-departmental collaboration to ensure financial alignment with operational activities and strategic goals.

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
Minimum 10-15 years of financial leadership experience, preferably in a multi-location or manufacturing-based organisation.
Industry knowledge: deep understanding of industry dynamics, cost management, and capital-intensive environments, ideally with experience in manufacturing or logistics.
Financial acumen: expertise in financial planning, analysis, and forecasting with a proven track record in capital allocation, investment management, and risk mitigation.
Leadership: demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across all levels.
Strategic mindset: proactive and visionary with a strategic approach to problem-solving and the capacity to translate financial data into business recommendations.
Technology and systems proficiency: strong understanding of ERP systems, financial modeling software, and data analytics to drive financial insights and efficiency.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards.
