We are seeking a skilled Disability Care Specialist to provide high-quality support services to individuals with disabilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting independence in all aspects of life, including personal care, medication management, meal preparation, household tasks, transportation, emotional and social support, and assistive device use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Manage client medications and ensure timely administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare meals for clients, taking into account dietary restrictions and special diets.
  • Assist with household chores, such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping, to maintain a safe and hygienic living environment.
  • Transport clients to appointments, activities, and social outings.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging in activities and conversations that promote social and emotional well-being.
  • Assist clients in using various assistive devices, such as wheelchairs, hearing aids, communication devices, or prosthetic limbs.

Essential Criteria:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or higher qualification (preferably but not mandatory).
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Driver's License and reliable car (mandatory).
  • NDIS Workers Check.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Police Clearance Check.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
  • Empathetic personality and personal and professional integrity.
