The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager - Capital Projects to join our high-performing Engineering and Capital Projects team. In this role, you will play a key part in the planning and governance of capital projects, focusing on the upgrade/refurbishment of our existing asset fleet while being an integral part of the sustaining capital project delivery team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support strategic delivery of capital projects, ensuring alignment of standards and implementing improvements.
  • Oversee and manage a team of project managers in program/project planning and execution by sharing your expertise and being a leader of the team.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, while monitoring project progress and evaluating project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Project Management and/or a minimum of 7 years of experience managing large-scale, complex, high-risk, varying, and/or multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to lead and execute tasks.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead project performance with project managers.
  • Strong negotiation skills with key stakeholders and external contractors.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to quickly and effectively adapt to changing circumstances and demands in a measured and constructive way.
  • Ability to read and understand work scopes and other relevant information.
  • Sound knowledge of WHS, Safety in Design, Environmental, Quality, and EEO policies, procedures, and standards.
