Job Title: DevOps Lead

Location: Sydney (Hybrid)
Reports To: CTO
Salary: Base salary negotiable depending on experience

Position Summary

The DevOps Lead is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and enhancement of the application landscape and integrations. This role demands close collaboration with cloud infrastructure partners and various business units to ensure alignment with organizational goals and optimal performance of the infrastructure.

Key Objectives
  • Lead the maintenance and continuous improvement of applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Manage integration processes for seamless data flow between systems.
  • Collaborate with cloud infrastructure partners to optimize architecture and pricing within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
  • Provide technical solutions to business units, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Implement security guidelines and best practices across all applications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and lead a team of developers and IT professionals, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Enhance applications within the landscape, applying best practices for maintenance and performance tuning.
  • Ensure data consistency and integrity across integrated platforms.
  • Optimize infrastructure architecture for cost-effectiveness in the Azure ecosystem.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units, providing guidance to meet business needs.
  • Stay updated on security best practices and ensure compliance.
Key Qualities/Attributes
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.

  • Strong team player with collaborative skills across various stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years in IT, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
  • Proficient in the Azure ecosystem and experience with the Power Platform.
  • Strong knowledge of.NET technologies, Microsoft SQL, and API development.
  • Experience with CI/CD using GitHub pipelines and Azure Integration Services (APIM, Service Bus, Azure Functions).
  • Familiarity with Azure Entra Identity and Access Management.
  • Experience with applications/system support frameworks (ITIL certification or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring technical teams.
