About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Threat Investigator to join our Security Operations Team based in Sydney.
As a Cyber Security Threat Investigator, you will be responsible for ensuring that cyber security threats are being appropriately detected and resolved across all our clients' environments. You will conduct triage and analysis on alerts, using security technologies to investigate and respond to help keep our customers secure.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Actively monitoring and analyzing client systems and responding to cyber security incidents as per documented process;
- Ensuring that all detected security incidents and breaches are investigated and responded to in a timely fashion;
- Maintaining incident response plans and playbooks;
- Providing input into regular security reporting;
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance essential;
- Demonstrated experience working in a security operations centre (SOC) environment with sound technical understanding of security incidents and alerts and well-versed in security technologies and tools;
- Minimum 2 years experience in incident analysis, security analytics, malware research, or similar experience;
The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a strong understanding of security technologies and tools and be able to apply this knowledge to identify and mitigate cyber security threats.
Estimated salary: $90,000 - $110,000 AUD per year.
